“The Nambour Ladies held their annual Invitation Day on Tuesday 23rd August. There were 70 ladies in the field with a shotgun start at 8.30am. We had players from Noosa, Mt Coolum, Caloundra, Gympie, Tin Can Bay, Cooroy & Maroochy River.
The event was a 4 person ambrose & the winners were a team of Nambour ladies – Sandy Smith, Lynne Wroe, Kay Heathwood & Monika Walton. Nice to see some of our new ladies on the winning team. The runners up were – Del Scott, Helen Russ, Lindel Forsyth (MR) & Helen Emery (MR).
Lynne Wroe also won the NTP on 6th.
The day was made extra special when Jenny Huggard, unable to play due to her ankle injury drove her cart around to every group & gave them an extra putt as well as delivering chocolates to keep up the strength of the players.
Morning tea was amazing & provided by our ladies & there were no complaints at all about the lunches provided by our caterer Amanda.
We raised $200 for the club from our raffle so all in all a very successful day.”
