COURSE REPORT AUGUST 2026

The new drain on the 5th hole is now completed. We attached 24 metres of storm pipe to the existing concrete drain that runs underneath the fairway with a large inspection drain pit added, and filled in the large hole and finished with turf. This area will remain G.U.R until the new turf is fully established.

A temporary tee has been built on the 10th hole and this will be used over the next six weeks until the new tee reopens. The timeframe of reopening the tee will depend on turf established and members will be updated throughout the project.

The 10th tee top surface will be completely stripped, sand profile shaped and levelled, and irrigation installed to the existing main line and hedges removed.

Tahoma 31 turf is a new hybrid couch grass that will be used for the finish of the 10th tee.

All old signs throughout the carpark have been removed and new signs have been installed. They look great and we will continue improving our signs throughout the course.

A new John Deere bunker machine was purchased and arrived last week.

This machine will help the staff maintain the bunkers and with small construction projects, including the 10th tee.

The toilet on the 14th hole has been freshened with a new cistern and seat.

All dam walls, drains and banks have been snipped.

Staff has continued with tree pruning throughout the course.

As we continue with maintenance on the course and the 10th tee project over the next month, we will move into greens renovations and this will take place starting Sunday September 13th, the day after our Centenary / Cancer Charity Day event.

Hope to see you all there celebrating our great club.

ANDY BOSWELL – COURSE SUPERINTENDENT
