Course Superintendent Report November 2025

COURSE REPORT – NOVEMBER 2025

Finally some rain! And what a positive difference it has made to our course. With a few days of rain we locked in and applied fertilisers to all areas and with the rain washing the fertiliser in, the timing was perfect as our irrigation was completely out of action for four days!

As mentioned in previous reports, our main pipes are showing major signs of age as we are constantly shutting down areas to repair the broken pipes. This included seven major leaks on multiple holes, including main pipes running under the second concrete path that we had to rip up and repair.

I am underway with a full plan /quote for the club to upgrade our irrigation system as the last month has shown how bad the situation is to the conditions of our greens and tees.

So much staff hours are spent fixing old pipes on a weekly basis, instead of utilising their hours in more important areas to benefit and improve the course. These repairs are also a band-aid effect as the pipes are so aged and the situation is becoming increasingly worse and frustrating.

An update will be issued each month in my reports moving forward regarding the irrigation plan.

The greens were very slow moving post renovations due to no rain, however since the recent storms they have improved massively.

All greens that were struggling on the surface were hand top dressed.

New flagpoles, cups and markers were applied to the course.

A new mat was replaced on the 6th tee box.

Two new mats and nets were added to the practice area.

All areas snipped by staff including dam walls, drains, banks, carpark and around the clubhouse.

All dams were sprayed for weeds.

The course is looking great considering the irrigation issues.

Also, congrats to all winners and participants in the club championships.
