On Saturday 10th September the Nambour Ladies held their annual Cancer Charity Day. Some people were spooked by the rain the day before & pulled out but 148 players turned up. The weather was fabulous, the course in superb condition.
The winners of the 4 person ambrose event were Bill Geary, Adam Geary, Mark Anderson & Wally Bell. Two of these guys were from out west & they said the sanded greens suited them perfectly because that’s what they’re used to.
Winners of the mixed were Mickey Schimak-Orrell, Judy Spanner, Dicko Yates & new member Lynn Soutter.
Runners Up were Robert Chant, Alex Cudlipp, Bart Blandford & Pedro Chant.
We had around $3000 worth of raffle & auction prizes up for grabs & we thank all our wonderful sponsors for their generosity. Included were Australian Garage Supermarket, Ironbark Timber Products, Psari Seafood Bar & Grill, Twin Waters Golf Club, Sunshine Mitre 10, Loose Goose, Noosa Springs Golf Club not to mention some of our own members as well.
Due to the amazing generosity of the players on the day $3,351 was raised for Nambour Hospitals’ Cancer Unit via Wishlist.
