On Tuesday 18th August the Nambour Ladies held their annual Invitation Day which was a 4 person ambrose. We had 64 entrants & all but one turned up despite the rain overnight & a further forecast of more rain.
The theme was of course our 100 year celebration & most ladies dressed up in old style golf wear. It was hilarious. However, the rain would not cease & we only played 6 holes before the siren sounded to call us in. We were drenched.
But, did we let it spoil our day, NO. We still had a fashion parade. Lunch. Raffles. We drew out random cards & gave away all the prizes. All the ladies made it such a fun filled day.
We also have some amazing bakers amongst our ladies & they did us proud with a lavish morning tea. The green staff & club staff were able ‘gormandise’ as well as there was so much, some more than others.
