COURSE REPORT JUNE 2026
This month included more rain, more roped off areas and signs placed throughout the course to allow cart access. Areas such as the 5th hill and the left-hand side of 7th hole will remain wet throughout the winter period and we remind all members to please stick to the paths that are provided and to follow all marked signs and roped off areas for your safety.
All steps on the course were inspected, and the staff have started and will continue installing yellow anti-slip tread to all steps.
The netting on the 13th hole that protects balls from entering the 15th green has been temporarily repaired, and discussion and plans to replace with a new barrier are in place.
We have installed 110 metres of new storm water pipe that runs from the back of the 4th green all the way to the 7th dam.
A concrete culvert and large pits were installed and the two larger sink holes were filled in. This project is now completed.
The retaining wall on the putting green was completed and the staff also pressure cleaned around the gardens, green and around the ladies’ toilet entrance.
The main carpark drainage has been inspected and plans to replace parts of this will be done next month and we will monitor the other two large pipes after this has been completed.
If we see any flow backup from these pipes in the future, we have options to repair/or clean out with industrial machinery.
The staff have completed all snipping to dam walls, banks and drains throughout course.
All tee markers were trimmed and painted
A half day of arborist work was carried out and this included trimming branches on the 13th 14th and 15th.
All greens were aerated to help with moisture and compaction
The 16th tee concrete path has been postponed due to weather, until next month.
The staff will begin an entire herbicide treatment to the base off all trees on the course. This will include a base trim followed by a herbicide application and this will prevent any unwanted weeds for the next six months.
The greens have had a fungicide and insecticide application and will be monitored very closely through these tough wet/cold conditions.
Let’s hope for less rain next month.
