COURSE REPORT – APRIL 2026
All irrigation plans and quotes are nearly finalised. We have the power upgrade to the 17th dam, and irrigation master plan all ready. I am just waiting on our engineers quotes as we need to extend the 17th dam even further to maximise the amount of water we can store. Hopefully I will have all details in next month’s report.
The weather has been great this month, with rough areas now slowing down.
We have completed patch work that was needed on greens, and these areas will remain as GUR until further notice.
Hedges, drains and banks have been snipped.
Everglades area has had a big clean up.
Tees are still struggling due to the shade, wear and no irrigation. Some tees will be seeded to help through winter.
There was damage to the 2nd green by scooters during the school holidays, and fertilising and top dressing have been done to help with recovery. Let’s hope they don’t come back again.
New ball washers have been replaced around the course.
Storm pipes have been delivered and we are booked in for 11th May to undertake this project, with drainage from the back of the 4th green and down to the 5th and 7th dam.
I have organised a quote to replace the retaining wall around the putting green as this is now a safety concern.
The course is looking great, with the club championships coming up next month, and we will be cutting and rolling for each round, pending the weather.
