COURSE REPORT – AUGUST 2025
This month we have trimmed and weeded all bunkers, and fairways and green surrounds have been fertilised.
Tees that have struggled with severe shade were oversowed with rye grass and fertilised to help through winter.
We have begun to remove a lot of dead trees around the course including overhanging branches, and we will continue this throughout next month, following grinding of tree stumps.
All dam walls, drains, tee banks, marker plates, other hazard surroundings have been snipped.
The 18th tee steps were fixed and replaced.
The 9th tee was cleaned up with the high grass alongside the tee.
The tap has been replaced on the 14th.
Retaining wall has been added to the front and rear of machinery shed.
There have been a lot of open sink holes appearing throughout the course, and this is due to VERY OLD drainage.
We have roped off all areas in the short term, with new drainage needing to be installed in all areas.
Renovations are approaching shortly, due on 1st September.
Greens will be heavily scarified following 12mm coring.
Top dressing and fertilisers will then be applied on the Tuesday.
Watering will continue throughout the week.
