COURSE REPORT – MAY 2025
I will keep this report nice and short as it has been a month that we have all wanted to move on from with consecutive rained out days for our golf and the course.
The only good news! The greens are healthy with minimal disease.
In between all of the bad weather while we couldn’t rough mow, we have snipped all areas and pulled away all old hazard stakes and replaced the entire course with newly painted ones.
The spacing is very noticeable and close together and there shouldn’t be any issues with identifying a ball either in play or in the hazard or out of bounds.
We had to move all equipment and machines to temporary sheds while our old machinery shed was demolished.
All trees within the machinery shed areas were removed, and a big thanks to ACA for their work and it is the first time I’ve seen light down there!
The new concrete floor has been poured and are awaiting the new shed to go up and which should all be finished by July.
Any areas down the 10th hole that have been damaged by contractors’ trucks will be repaired at the end of the project.
The garden on the 10th has been removed in preparation for extending the tee in the near future.
The course is now back in play with G.U.R painted areas, fairways have been mowed and with nearly all of the rough completed and bunkers are back in play. Tees and greens surrounds are mowed.
My thanks to the greens staff who have put in an amazing effort!
