COURSE REPORT – NOVEMBER 2024
There has been much needed rain for the course and dam levels.
All good news for the course update with greens fully recovered from renovations.
As mentioned last month, I severely sprayed out the carpet grass on the 2nd green and this week as the grass is trying to grow over, we will be patching the larger areas with turf used from the chipping green. By the end of the year this green will be as good as the others, hopefully.
As for other minor patches that are an ongoing problem, eg on the back of the 15th green, this is also being repaired next week.
We have a new staff member Billy, and Pete has returned home. We have a good number of staff now, and the course will be presented the best it can be, and looking forward to future projects and improvements next year.
Fairways are being cut regularly with all rough areas being mowed every week.
All dam walls, banks and drains have been snipped.
Marker plates trimmed.
All hedges, carpark and clubhouse tidied up.
All bunkers have been weeded and fresh new sand has been added to all.
We have purchased a new spray machine that will be here early next year.
The blower has been used weekly and was great for cleaning up the course after the storms we just had.
Crows foot weeds have been sprayed on all tees. Moving forward with weeds, we will continue spraying on all green surrounds and greens, when the rain is gone.
Mushrooms are a problem again and I am only concerned because of the greens. An application has been done.
We are currently waiting on a part from America for our greens roller, and hopefully will not be too much longer.
The dams are full again, and the course is in great condition.
