Greens Report September 2026

COURSE REPORT SEPTEMBER 2026

Greens renovations were completed this month and our first cut will be next week at a height of 4mm and will slowly bring that down to the desired height of 3.2mm. Once the sand on the greens has completely settled, the roller will come back into action.

As previously mentioned multiple times, we please ask members not to touch the irrigation system whilst it is running (turning off valves and sprinklers).

Our system can only run one green at a time therefore we have to water during the day and at night, so please, any impact of turning off valves under pressure can cause serious damage which we have already experienced in the past.

We are putting in some additional hours of fairway mowing over the next month. The 3rd and 11th holes have always striped up nicely so we are continuing this look throughout all fairways and they are already looking great.

A lot more tree pruning has continued over the course, however we are running out of space to dump the green waste. We are currently looking into an area to create more of a permanent spot that we can control burn when needed, and an update on this will be provided next month.

Other than renovations this month, we have been hands on with the 10th tee.

We have now completed the turfing and are finalising asphalt for the entrance to the tee, and this is booked in and should be completed within the next month.

We removed over 100 tonnes of soil from the tee, added 40 tonnes of turf underlay (sand), levelled the area and applied new irrigation. A new hybrid couch grass called Tahoma 31 was used.

No exact date has been set for opening of the new tee but it will be towards the end of October.
