FEBRUARY
2024 – Greens Report
One extreme
to another, and this month was not good for golf or the course, however we did
scrape in renovations before the wild weather hit.
The greens
have powered back from reno’s and are very healthy. The new greens mower is in
action and the new cutting heads go out this week.
Greens will
still be rolling a little slow as we have to wait another week before we use
the roller due to the sand.
The staff
are doing an amazing job with attacking the rough areas this week, and we
are in the process of fixing up washouts on paths.
The bridge
on the 3rd hole was completely washed away, but is now back in use.
The 13th
hole is a huge problem at the moment and with how wet the surrounding area is,
please follow any roped areas until this has been resolved.
I have also
extended the path on the 17th, and this continues and goes behind the 16th
green.
All cart
drivers please use paths where provided.
We have new
sand coming for our bunkers, and they will be topped up next week.
To end on a
positive note, our dams are now full.
