FINANCIAL CRISIS

The GFC has certainly played havoc with golf clubs across the country, and we have not been immune. However, some stalwarts have adjusted their spending habits to protect their beloved game of golf here at Nambour. Some have gone to greater and more imaginative lengths than others.

There are only two of Callaway performance centres in Australia - and Nambour Golf Club was fortunate to host this mobile PC on Friday 20 April.  What is it? Who can use it? What did they do?

Tee Renovation

Isn't it about time to make some improvements?? With the wet weather dictating to our green staff, little time has been left for improvements. Now they are moving on a development project. Where??

GREEN RECOVERY

The bane of a green keeper's lot is a burst hydraulic hose on the greens mower. When this happens we can see the disastrous effects immediately. But this time Mick and Paul were able to take some remedial action immediately. So, what did they do?

PLAY MORE GOLF

The rain has eased, the sun is shining brightly, a gentle breeze is blowing - so why aren't you out here playing golf like these people?

These members turn up on a Monday every week (some other days as well!!)  and enjoy the physical exercise and the social contact too - and then maybe imbibe a little. There is room for you too!

WHAT'S COOKING?

David, our continental chef, is planning big things in catering for our club. "My idea is to provide you with the best value meals on the Coast, and in doing so make everyone a winner - you get value for money, I get happy customers and the club gets your support ."

He will be extending catering operations to provide hot meals and snacks throughout the week including dinner on Friday evenings.

Very shortly members will receive a newsletter from David outlining his proposals, along with comprehensive menus for snacks and meals with very realistic prices. 

GREEN IS CHAMPION

Joe Green, one of our newer members, took out a title in the Queensland Indigenous Championships on the weekend! Which title? Where was this? How did he score?

TIMESHEET ACCESS

Members will notice, when you log onto the timesheets, that every day is now available. This will allow members to book a timeslot for social play on any day of the week (apart from competition timeslots already quarantined.)

Now, coupled with the $15 vouchers included in your annual subscription renewal notice, you can bring a non-memebr out for a social game (family, friend, relative, etc) and have a guaranteed tee time. Of course, social players can book a time through the Proshop as usual.
