Hole #1
A dogleg left, downhill all the way. Stay right to open up the green, especially if the pin is tucked left behind the bunker. Avoid going through the green as a severe slope left and behind create a difficult shot back to the green.
Hole #2
An easy par three, the green is level with the tee. To cater for the slope of the ground, the green is built up on the right. A miss on the left leaves you with a much easier approach!
Hole #3
This beautiful hole, a slight dogleg right, has plenty of trouble. The rainforest hazard extends along much of the fairway; a huge pot bunker waits on the right; a solitary palm in the centre of another bunker guards any approach long and left.
Hole #4
One of our harder holes. The tee is set back into the rainforest. The fairway borders left along the lagoon, and along the rainforest on the right. The green set high on the hill is guarded by three large bunkers. A putt from the back of the green will slip quickly down the slope.
Hole #5
Our hardest hole, with plenty of hazards to catch any slightly errant ball. A short drive right will end in a small lagoon, while a long drive left may finish in the large lagoon. Then there is the blind shot to the green above your feet. The green is surrounded by the rainforest on the left, and a deep gully and hazard on the right.
Hole #6
A short hole (shorter from the front tee) but it is dangerous to leave your tee shot short. The small green is difficult to hold, but it is better to err long, as the bunker left and the severe slope right will punish short shots.
Hole #7
Tee off from on high, and finish on the green high on the next hill. The fairway doglegs left along the out-of-bounds lagoon and rain forest , and always slopes towards them. As you approach the green, a miss on the left leaves you with the pin as much as 8 metres above your feet!
Hole #8
With the green well above your feet, you won't see your hole in one! Out of bounds on the left, and the green is guarded by two sizeable bunkers to catch any shots pushed, pulled or short!
Hole #9
A short par four, but plays harder than it looks, with out-of-bounds along the left, and a fairway bunker to catch a drive steered right. A bunker will catch the short approach, but a shot too long may travel this wide but narrow green, and down the steep bank behind the green.The shot back then requires consummate skill to save your par.
Hole #10
Our signature hole! Plays shorter than its length suggests as the tee is 20 metres above the green. Avoid the deeply forested hazard on the left, or the steep drop over the back of the green.The two bunkers guard each side of the green.
Hole #11
A good drive from high on the hill on this long double dogleg will give an excellent chance of reaching the green for two. Don't get too excited if you have an eagle put, as this tiered green is quite slippery from the back.
Hole #12
Doglegs back to the left, with your drive subject to the steep slope on the right. For the longer drives the quarry hazard on the right comes into play . Water on the right seldom comes into play, but the slope in front of the green can grab any shot which is slightly short or steered left.
Hole #13
A short par four with a downhill drive, but an up hill approach. A dam will catch any short drive pushed right, while a longer shot on that line will end up in the quarry hazard! Play short to the gully on the fairway beyond the dam, and a par becomes much easier.
Hole #14
A long downhill par three with the cemetery OB on the right. A shot to the left can also leave a difficult approach blocked by the solitary palm! Make sure you do not overshoot the green as it is difficult to negotiate the steep bank behind.
Hole #15
A sight dogleg right to an uphill, two tiered green. A well positioned drive leaves you with a short approach, but leave your approach short and you will be punished! A putt from the wrong level can be very tricky.
Hole #16
A downhill hole, sloping right, with water on the left which comes into play for long drives. Too far right and the "sentinels" will block your line of sight to the pin! The green is blue couch, and the approach from the right is with the grain, making it much quicker than one from the left.
Hole #17
Over the water is easy, but don't leave you tee shot short or to the right where the Valley of the Shadow of Death awaits. The small turkey nest green can be difficult to hold.
Hole #18
This final hole sweeps left up hill, suiting a draw for the drive, and then a high approach into the green perched on the hill below the clubhouse. The solitary palm looks ominous from the back tee. Plays longer than the metres suggests.
