Welcome Nigel Smyly

Nigel is well-credentialled to join our clubhouse team.

Now that our Rugby League-mad barmanager has left, his place has been filled by Nigel Smyly, a golf-mad bar manager!

Nigel has played golf since "the day dot", starting his golf career at Ipswich Golf Club, where his parents are both long-term members. While he is currently a member of the Mt Coolum Golf Club, where he is a member of the A Grade Pennant team, he has also been a member at Nambour. He was both our Club Champion and Nambour  Open Champion in 2003.

So Nigel's understanding of the game will be useful as part of his role will be in golf administration.

However, he is also to be heavily involved in the hospitality side of our operations, as Bar Manager amongst other things. He has had extensive experience in hospitality, working most recently at Mt Coolum Golf Club, and the Caloundra RSL. His work as a bar manager and operations manager at the Frenchville Sports Club in Rocky stands him in good stead for this current position. I am sure we will benefit from having Nigel on our side!
