Charity Challenge Cup a winner!

A good quality field of almost 100 players participated in the Beth Cuthbertson Charity Challenge Cup. Players came from afar to compete, with five clubs represented, from as far away as Tasmania!

A generous donation from the Club of the green fees collected helped top up the funds raised from the day to $1 400. These funds will enable further research into cancer, from which our Beth sadly passed away.

Great support from generous sponsors helped boost the field, trophies able to be awarded, and eventually the total of funds raised. Sponsors included Mal Wilson, Noosa Springs, Lanhams Hardware, Woolworths, Coolum Tavern, Nambour Plaza Meats, Auscare Pharmacy at Nambour Heights, Total Financial Freedom, Wild about Fruit and the Buderim Ginger Factory.

Winners on 51 points were Thelma Byrnes and Pete Johnson. Four groups came runners-up, with 48 points each - Jenny Brett and Adam Smith, Matt Curry and Joyce Raph,  Mick Roberts and Ros Gaylard and Yvonne Rayner Richard Evetts.

Don't know about you, but makes you wonder what our green staff do in their spare time - so many of the male winners work on the greens! Handicap check must be in order!
