Remember Don?
How could you forget this character who was larger than life?
Almost on the anniversary of the sudden and untimely passing of Don Alexander, a huge field participated in his memorial event held at NGC on Friday 11 April. Over 130 members and visitors played in an event sponsored by Don’s family. Don was a well known and respected member who was a great supporter of NGC, and especially the Nambour Veterans, so it was appropriate to hold the event on a Vet’s Friday.
Although his business has been sold, all his past team of workers turned up and partied on well into the night. Twenty-two of them stayed for the dinner that night, and swelled the presentation night crowd. Everyone who attended and helped celebrate the memorial was happy and enjoyed the event - just as Don would have wanted it!
