Nambour Ladies Golf Club Annual Weekday Events

 

Nomination fee of $10.00 payable by the end of February.Competition year from 1st February to the 31st October.
A player changing grades during the year will compete in the grade in which she spent the majority of the season.

 Eclectic
                        Silver                0 - 18

                        Bronze 1.        19 – 29

                        Bronze 2.         30 – 45
Scores from weekday single events run by the Ladies Committee including Nambour Ladies Open Day may be used.

3/8 of players exact  handicap at beginning of last round of competition is deducted from final Gross score to determine winners in each grade. (winner has lowest Nett scores).  Ties decided by countback system – last 9, 6 ,3
This event may be entered later in the year for a fee of $2.00.

 Best 8 Nett Stroke Cards

                        Silver                0 – 18

                        Bronze 1.         19 – 29

                        Bronze 2.         30 – 45Best 8 Nett stroke rounds played midweek at Nambour during the competition year.  AWCR to be used in determining best scores.
Ties decided by the next best nett card (9th, 10th etc) until winner is decided.

 Birdie Competition

 Competition played in 3 grades Silver, Bronze 1 and Bronze 2.  Trophy for the player having the most birdies in each grade during the competition year in either single or 4 ball events.
Ties decided by number of birdies compared with number of games played.

 Garney Hungerford Memorial Shield for Putting

 Annual putting competition played in conjunction with Monthly Medal competition.

 Aggregate of best 4 of 8 rounds to decide winner.  If a tied situation exists another round is added until a winner is decided.

 Consistency Event

 Trophy to player with most points.  Points are awarded as follows for these scores and events:

                        Better than AWCR                   =          4pts

                        Equal AWCR to AWCR +2     =          3pts

                        AWCR+3 to AWCR+5           =          2pts

                        AWCR+6 or more                   =          1pt                       

                        4BBB players               =          1pt each

                        18 holes foursomes       =          1pt each

                        36 holes                       =          2pt each

                        Ambrose                      =          1pt each

 1pt also awarded for representing our club on Open Days which include Nett Pennant competition.

 In the event of a tie, the player with the least number of 1 points in single events at Nambour is the winner.  If tie still exists, it is the player with least number of 2 points etc.

Club Championships

Club Champion – Honour Board Event

(N.B. - For Saturday Ladies'Championship conditions of play, see (2) CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS under Male Member's Annual Events)

4x 18 hole stroke rounds. 

Awards are made for the following events:

            Best 72 holes gross                               Club Champion           

            Best 72 holes gross (B Grade)               B Grade Champion      

            Best 72 holes gross (C Grade)               C Grade Champion     

Champions have their name engraved on the Championship Cup and receive a trophy.

If a B Grade player becomes the Club Champion that player is also awarded the B Grade Championship title, has her name engraved on the cup but does does not receive the B Grade trophy.  A trophy will be awarded for the best A Grade gross.


Trophies are awarded for the following nett events:

            Best 72 holes nett - A Grade

            Best 72 holes nett - B Grade

            Best 72 holes nett - C Grade


A player’s handicap at the start of the Championships is retained for the 72 hole nett event (A, B & C Grade of Championships). Any variation in handicap (extension or reduction) is applicable to each daily 18 hole nett event.


There will be a 4 player minimum during Championship in each grade for a nett trophy to be awarded.  Players may not win more than one trophy.

A seeded draw decides order of play for the first 2 rounds.  Third and fourth round draws according to gross scores.  Consideration to be given to those requiring earlier or later times for health or work commitments. 


Ties for gross events will be decided by a play of holes 1, 8 and 9 and if no result is achieved a sudden death hole by hole play of 1, 8 and 9 until a winner is decided.

The Match Committee will determine whether the competition is reduced to a 54 holes in the event of bad weather.


Ladies Foursomes Championship – Honour Board Event

36 hole stroke round

The Foursomes Championship title is awarded for the best gross round.  Champions have their name engraved on the Foursomes Championship Cup and receive a trophy.

Trophies are also awarded for:

            Best 36 hole nett

            Best 1st 18 holes nett

            Best 2nd 18 holes nett


A player’s handicap at the start of the Championship is retained for the 36 Hole Nett event.  Players may not win more than one trophy.  Presentation to be held at completion of Championships.

Ties for the gross event will be decided by a play of holes 1, 8 and 9 and if no result is achieved a sudden death hole by hole play of 1, 8 and 9 until a winner is decided.
