 NAMBOUR GOLF CLUB INCORPORATED

BY LAWS

 

1.   DRESS REGULATIONS RELATING TO THE CLUBHOUSE AND COURSE.

   Members and Visitors are required to be suitably dressed within the dictates of modesty, current fashion, sun safety and workplace health and safety at all times, both on the Course and in the Club House.

 

ACCEPTABLE WEAR ON COURSE OR IN CLUBH0USE

 

Male Members & Visitors:

Shirt with collar or turtle neck and sleeves, slacks or walk shorts with socks and shoes.

 

Female Members & Visitors:

Sleeveless blouse or blouse with collar and sleeves, worn with slacks, skirt, shorts or culottes, shoes.

 

UNACCEPTABLE WEAR ON COURSE

Thongs, bare feet, beachwear, T Shirts, singlet, bare shoulders, exposed mid riffs.

UNACCEPTABLE WEAR IN CLUBHOUSE

 

 Bare feet, beachwear, T shirts, singlet, bare shoulders or mid-riffs, hats or caps.

 

Exception:

Working clothes are permitted with the permission of management committee.

Minimum requirements are: Shirt and Shorts/Trousers or Overalls and footwear.

 

The Senior Member of the Management Committee present may grant a special dispensation from standard dress requirements in unusual circumstances, such as extreme weather conditions.

 

Children, whilst in the Clubhouse must be under strict parental control. Children who can walk must wear shoes.

 

2.   CONDUCT.

All members and visitors shall, at all times, conduct themselves in a seemly manner, both on the course and in the club house, so as not to interfere with the other members' quiet enjoyment of the club’s amenities.

 

Any person breaking or otherwise damaging any property of the club shall pay such sum as may be adjudged by the Management Committee sufficient to cover the damage.

 

Junior members under the age of eighteen years are not permitted to sit at the bar or near the poker machines, and will not be served with alcoholic drinks.

 

3.   LIQUOR, BEVERAGES AND FOOD – as per LIQUOR ACT   

(1)   Liquor.  No liquor to be brought onto any Golf Club property, all liquor consumed on Golf Club property must be purchased from the Club.

(2)   Food and Beverages.  Only food and beverages purchased from the Club or the Club Caterer may be consumed in the Clubhouse.

(3)   The club house is defined as that area within the guttering on the perimeter of the clubhouse, including any verandah area.

 

 

4.     RIDE ON GOLF CARTS

The Greens Director and Club Captain (or their nominated delegates) shall from time to time make rules governing use, access, wet weather conditions and marshalling of motorised golf buggies. As well they can denote areas for parking buggies, designate prohibited areas and the like. Hire and visitors' motorized golf buggies are subject to the same rules which cover members' buggies.

 

5      MOBILE PHONES

During competition rounds members are requested to minimise use of  mobile phones. Such member should ask fellow players if they have any objection to the use of the mobile phone.

 

6.    COUNTRY MEMBERS

(1)  Country Members are entitled to play a maximum 12 rounds of golf per year (competition or non competition) and be eligible to win “OPEN” events.

(2)  Country Member as defined in the Club Rules of Association are ineligible to win:

 

a. Honour Board Event 

b. Monthly Medal (Monthly Mug)
