Palmerston players

The weather is fine - come on down!

Palmerston Golf and Country Club in Darwin is a bit quieter these days, as the “dirty dozen’ have hit the Sunshine Coast for the next 10 days.  “We will play ten courses over these ten days, and the only course we play twice is Nambour. We play Beerwah, Caloundra, Pacific Harbour, The Hyatt, Peregian Springs, Noosa Springs and a few others”, says spokesman Alan Boyes. This is the eighth year a group from Palmerston have visited the coast for their R & R, especially at this time of year when it is so hot in Darwin. Graham Chin said that several of the current team have not missed a trip. Are these ‘oldtimers’ leading the newcomers, or leading them astray?? At this time of year we host a number of touring teams like this – last week we were blessed by teams from New Zealand., and previously two groups from Tasmania.

Have a look at the grins on their faces - I bet golf is not all they get up to!

Great to have you here - see you again next year?

Nambour often attracts players from all over Australia - individuals, social clubs, 'grey nomads' as well as our local people. We also are attracting more and more players from overseas, mainly through being located through our web page.
