Junior Challenge
No fear, heaps of confidence, lots of fun!
Schweppes Junior Challenge was a tough challenge for the 16 junior golfers—and probably a really tough challenge for you and me!!
Watching these young players being put through their paces was an eye opener. Their targets were really tough, and they didn’t whine or complain once—not like some of our older players would have done (and do!)
I know us ‘oldies’ often marvel at the swings and bravado of these young players, but you would also have been impressed with their enthusiasm, their unfaltering belief that ‘I can do this’ and their good behaviour.
We must congratulate Darrel Dalton, along with John Forgan for their contribution to development of these youngsters as useful, confident and future members of this club. The award Darrel received from the Zone last year for his development of our Juniors was certainly warranted. Well done Darrel—and his partner Michelle, John Forgan and parent helpers too.
